Especially the second sentence, because of its simplicity. If it is taken out of the context it is in, it could apply to the experiences of many people. Put a few thousand of those types of sentences together in a novel and you would be winning the Miles Franklin. Having not really been a victim of crime - I have been hit a couple of times and my wallet was stolen - I have never really experienced the setback of a crime that scared me into not wanting to leave the house - but your video poem gives an insight.
That's a very good analysis Graham. it's probably vague enough to be open to interpretation which was the intent. Must be a lot of people around though with this type of reality, including some who suffer from anxiety. Anyway, I appreciate the time youve taken. Cheers
